World's oldest woman

Misao Ookawa, 114-year old woman from Osaka, Western Japan, was officially recognized as the oldest woman alive by Guinness World Records on Wednesday.

After receiving official certificate from the representatives of Guinness World Records, she said to have been pleased

Misao was born in a family of clothing merchant in the 19th century, to be more precise - 1898. She is due to celebrate her 115th birthday in just a few days time.

Although she could hardly keep herself awake during the ceremony of recognition, and her tongue kept falling out of the mouth, the question “How do you feel now that you are the oldest woman alive?”, she answered succinctly “Given everything, it's pretty good”.
