A innovative test has been developed by the British scientists that can detect Alzheimer's disease at its early stages.
The methods revolves around special “markers”, like proteins amyloid and APOE, which can be detected in the blood of a person developing Alzheimer's.
Healthy people do not possess such markers in their blood.
The innovation was reported at the Alzheimer's Research Conference by the specialists from the University of Nottingham who are now working on a simple and comprehensive test that could be used in the clinical setting.
The new test means earlier diagnosis and appropriate treatment.
