It does not mean that you constantly make harm to your health or need emergency treatment. Internet addiction can be called a bad habit, which would be easy to get rid of.

Symptoms

As with any addiction, Internet is an unhealthy one to a particular occupation. In this case, it is many houred and not always justified seating in front of the computer. The purpose of visiting Internet resources is not important, but the process is. The main point is just "climbing" on the sites. Eventually, addiction turns into obsession. In the cafe or bar, a person is interested not in having a lunch bit in presence of Wi-Fi hotspot. Communication via Skype, E-mail, ICQ or other instant messenger becomes more common way of interaction. Naturally, a gadget that allows you to go online are to be with you.

Vision is the first thing that suffers from Internet addiction. Even if your monitor has a very high quality, the fatigue of eye muscles leads to a loss of its elasticity. Blood vessels in the outer eye burst, giving a sensation of dryness and burning; wrinkles in the corners of the eyes appear. To protect eyes, you need to take the moisturizing drops throughout the day and take a break from time to time. Because of the long sitting there might back pains, stoop and scoliosis occur. If you are often unable or unwilling to get up from the computer, you should wear a special brace that supports the bearing. Playing sports with a focus on back muscles will also be very helpful. The longer a person communicates through the Internet, the more his asociality progresses. Loss of communication skills can lead to complications and, consequently, depression.

 

Treatment

In order to return to normal life, you should first calculate how much time you spend browsing on a purpose. If it is two to three hours try to cope with all the important things within this time. The saved time is better not to spend on useless sitting in the internet. You can block useless sites, which consume your time. Estimate how much money you will save on electricity, if reduce the time of the PC work. If you have a pet, start to pay more attention to it. It would be helpful for both of you. Any hobby, unrelated to the expanses of furrowing the World Wide Web, will be welcome. If all above fails, a psychologist will be helpful.
