Running on the spot! What can be easier?

Running in any of its form can be considered as one of the most effective sports. It develops stamina and improves physical performance.

 

During running our body heats up which leads to saturation of oxygen. Given the high activity of respiration during the run, we give the body a large quantity of this vital gas. That, in turn, is carried by blood throughout the body, which leads to improved operation of all body functions. In addition to training several muscle groups, there is a payload for the heart.

Thus, a runner kills several birds with one stone. In contrast to the races at the short and long-distance, running on the spot, as a rule, applies only to recreational purposes. The beauty of this session is that it takes a little time and requires no additional space. Even fifteen minutes will be enough to warm up and thus contribute to the exit of the "old" salts from the body through the sweat glands. This, in turn, leads to weight loss. Furthermore, running on the spot, a person loses about the same calories as jogging at the outdoors.

The procedure should be done in a well ventilated area to get desired results. Ideally, it should be a part of the street, located away from the road (the yard, park or stadium). If the classes are held at home, a balcony or a room with the opened window is preferable. Movements during running on the spot are not much different from the course running.

 

The same floor area (within the allowable space) should remain under the feet. The body is relaxed at the same time, the limbs move freely and naturally, the mood is upbeat. Speed can vary from slow to fast. It is also possible to repeatedly change the speed of movement during a single "race". It is also preferable to turn on the music to maintain an active attitude.
