Grapefruit Diet - the key to "aspen" waist

A prominent actress Sophia Loren once confessed that she has eaten a grapefruit every day. In the words of the star, it helps her to keep normal weight and even drop some extra pounds. A few years after the revelation, studies were conducted, showed that Lauren's favourite fruit contains naringin. This substance has a choleretic effect and stimulates the liver. Thus, this citrus, containing vitamins A, B, C, D, P, is involved in the "burning" of fat.

Grapefruit diet helps to lose about 3-5 kg during one week. The main rule is to eat a half of grapefruit or to drink a glass of grapefruit juice for 20-30 minutes before meal. In addition, it is not recommended to eat more than 800 calories a day. It is also important to eliminate sugar, salt and spices from the ration. Fish and meat should be exclusively boiled. Dietitians recommend to drink green tea (you can add a spoon of honey), coffee and yogurt. It is allowed to eat an apple or drink a glass of buttermilk between meals and to eat grapefruit after dinner. Considering the high acidity of the fruit this method is not recommended for people suffering from gastritis or gastric ulcer.

Week diet:

 

Monday. Breakfast: a grapefruit (a glass of grapefruit juice), 50 grams of lean meat (ham), a cup of green tea or coffee.

Lunch: a grapefruit, 250 g of vegetable salad, a cup of green tea or coffee.

Dinner: 150 g of boiled meat, 200 grams of green salad, a cup of green tea (with honey).

Tuesday. Breakfast: a grapefruit (a glass of grapefruit juice), two boiled eggs, a cup of green tea or coffee.

Lunch: a grapefruit, 150 g low-fat cottage cheese or cheese or 50 g.

Dinner: 200 g of boiled fish, 300 g of vegetable salad, a piece of black bread.

Wednesday. Breakfast: a grapefruit (a glass of grapefruit juice), a small serving of oatmeal or cereal, 150 g of milk or non-fat yogurt.

Lunch: a grapefruit, a small portion of vegetable soup or broth, a piece of black bread (toast).

Dinner: half a grapefruit, 200 g of boiled chicken, two tomatoes (can be baked), a cup of green tea.

Thursday. Breakfast: a glass of tomato juice, boiled egg, a cup of green tea (you can with honey or lemon).

Lunch: a grapefruit, 300 g of lettuce, slice of bread (toast).

Dinner: 400 g stewed or boiled vegetables (except corn and potatoes), a cup of green tea.

Friday. Breakfast: a salad of grapefruit, apple and orange, a cup of green tea or coffee.

Lunch: a small portion of baked potato, 200 grams of green salad.

Dinner: 250 g of boiled fish or chicken, a glass of tomato juice (a tomato).

Saturday. Breakfast: a grapefruit (a glass of grapefruit juice), 50 grams of lean meat (ham), a cup of green tea or coffee.

Lunch: a grapefruit, 250 g of vegetable salad, a cup of green tea or coffee.

Dinner: 150 g of boiled meat, 200 grams of green salad, a cup of green tea (with honey).

Sunday. Breakfast: a glass of tomato juice, boiled egg, a cup of green tea (you can with honey or lemon).

Lunch: a grapefruit, 300 g of lettuce, slice of bread (toast).

Dinner: 400 g stewed or boiled vegetables (except corn and potatoes), a cup of green tea.
